The Clinicians
The clinicians in the Insomnia and Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program are licensed clinical psychologists and post-doctoral fellows. Post-doctoral fellows have already completed a doctoral degree in psychology but have not yet been licensed. They work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Rachel Manber, PhD
Dr. Rachel Manber, associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is the director of the Insomnia and Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program. She is a clinical psychologist, certified by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in the practice of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. She has been treating adults, children, and adolescents with different types of insomnia for over 15 years and has been training psychologists and physicians in providing non-drug treatments for insomnia. Dr. Manber heads the Stanford Treatment Research Laboratory dedicated to improving the treatments of insomnia and depression <link>.
